Founder Message
The underlying belief at VridhCare Quality of life Foundation, India is the understanding that the only way to measure a society lies in its attitude towards the elderly, especially those who are disempowered. We believe that dignity should never be at the mercy of how old one becomes.
For as long as I can remember, I was instilled with the belief that meaningful change begins with individual responsibility. That conviction is the cornerstone of our work. VridhCare was not founded merely as an organization. Rather, it was envisioned as an obligation to help, in anyway way possible, restore respect, emotional security and quality healthcare for those who are often ignored by society.
Across old-age homes and underprivileged communities, we make an effort to not only put emphasis on medical and physiological needs, but also the emotional well-being of the elderly. Whether through physiotherapy units, healthcare initiatives, cataract surgeries, essential needs and community engagement programmes, our focus remains on making sure that the elderly live with dignity, confidence and a sense of belonging.
Simultaneously, VridhCare looks to inspire a wider culture of empathy and responsible giving. We believe that social impact that is sustainable is brought about only when individuals, volunteers, corporates and institutions come together with a purpose that is both shared and has purpose.
India is moving forward economically and socially. It is, therefore, critical that elder care becomes a collective national purpose. Leaving them behind would be morally wrong. By way of collaborations, compassion and consistent action, we aspire to contribute towards building a society where the attitude to ageing is not one of neglect, but respect and care.
